About the Role
We’re a SoCal and Austin-based venture studio that builds, launches, and scales brands — and we need someone who can build the growth engines behind them. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role for a marketer who doesn't just manage campaigns but cracks them. You'll own growth across our portfolio of brands and early‑stage ventures, breaking into new verticals, standing up acquisition from scratch, and figuring out what message lands with each unique audience across wildly different markets.
We're not looking for someone who hands off a brief and waits. We need someone who understands that the right angle, the right hook, the right creative paired with the right audience is the difference between a campaign that bleeds budget and one that opens an entire market. If you've got the instincts of a direct‑response copywriter, the analytical rigor of a performance marketer, and the restlessness of a founder — this is your role.
Benefits
Competitive base salary (depends on experience) + strong performance bonus plan
Flexible PTO
17 paid holidays
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
401(k)
Monthly cell phone/gym stipend
Ongoing learning and platform training
What You’ll Do
Crack New Verticals & Build From Zero
Be the first one in when a new venture or brand needs to find its audience — whether that's an entirely new market, a new customer segment, or a product that didn't exist six months ago
Build the go‑to‑market from the ground up: research the audience, map their pain points, develop positioning, find the channels that reach them, and prove it works before we pour fuel on it
Treat every new venture in the portfolio like a startup you're personally responsible for getting off the ground — because you are
Lead With Creative Strategy
This is where you separate yourself. You don't just pick audiences and set bids — you obsess over what we say and how we say it
Develop and test creative angles tailored to distinct buyer personas across different ventures — the hook that converts in one market won't work in another, and you instinctively know why
Write, concept, and iterate on ad copy, landing page messaging, video scripts, and hooks yourself — then partner with design to bring them to life
Run structured creative testing: isolate variables, test hooks against hooks, formats against formats, and build a library of proven winners for each audience and each brand
Understand that creative is the single biggest lever in paid media and treat it accordingly
Own the Full Growth Loop
Run paid campaigns end-to-end across Google, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, programmatic, and emerging channels — but don't stop at the click
Optimize the entire funnel from impression to conversion: landing pages, forms, lead flows, nurture sequences, and handoff quality
Design and run rapid experiments beyond paid — partnerships, outbound loops, content distribution, community, referral mechanics, and whatever unconventional play might work for a given venture
Kill underperformers quickly and reallocate to what's working. No sentimentality.
Live in the Data
Own your numbers: CPL, CPA, CAC, LTV, payback periods, pipeline velocity, and creative performance metrics
Build lean dashboards that surface what actually matters — not vanity decks for leadership, but real signal that drives decisions
Use performance data to identify which angles resonate, which audiences convert deepest in the funnel, and where the next big unlock is hiding
Manage Budgets Like It's Your Money
Own and allocate paid media budgets across platforms and ventures
Forecast spend, pipeline contribution, and ROI — and adjust in real time based on what you're seeing
Make the case for where to invest more and where to pull back, backed by data
Work Cross‑Functionally as a Growth Partner
Sit alongside venture leads, sales teams, and operations to stay tight on lead quality, attribution, and what's actually converting
Brief and collaborate with design and content — but come to the table with strong creative direction, not an empty brief
Support new venture launches with integrated campaigns that have a clear angle and a clear ask
Context‑switch between brands and business models without losing depth or momentum
Who You Are
Must‑Haves
5–10+ years in growth marketing or performance marketing, with meaningful time at startups, agencies, or high‑growth companies where you owned outcomes end‑to‑end
Strong creative instincts — you've personally developed ad concepts, written copy, and built messaging frameworks that drove measurable results. You know what a good angle looks like and you can articulate why it works.
Hands‑on platform experience across Meta, LinkedIn, Native, and YouTube, plus a willingness to explore channels most marketers haven't touched
Proven track record of entering new markets or verticals and building acquisition from near‑zero
Deep analytical chops — you pull your own data, build your own models, and let performance guide your creative and spend decisions
Comfortable working across multiple brands, industries, and business models simultaneously — you thrive in variety, not routine
Bias toward action. You'd rather ship a rough test today than a polished campaign next month
Nice‑to‑Haves
Experience at a venture studio, incubator, agency, or multi‑brand portfolio environment
Background in direct response, DTC, or any environment where creative testing was a core growth discipline
Familiarity with ABM strategies for B2B ventures within the portfolio
Working knowledge of performance marketing attribution tools
You've launched something from scratch — a brand, a product, a channel — and grown it to meaningful scale
